Responsible Tourism Institute
The Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI) is an international non-profit NGO, in the form of an association, which has promoted, for more than 20 years, internationally responsible tourism, helping all the actors involved in the tourism sector develop a new way of traveling and of knowing our Planet. .
Since its inception, the RTI had the collaboration of the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), through a memorandum of understanding, in force until December 2018. It is also an affiliate member of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and founding member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
The RTI collaborates with various associations of entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, as well as with organizations, governmental and non-governmental, for the development of tourist activities and projects -located both in developed countries and in developing countries- where the initiatives are carried out consistent with the principles of sustainable development.
